The abrasion and friability tester consists of one or two test stations. If required, test drums can be equipped to test for wear due to rolling and falling or to test the abrasion of tablets, tabletcores, granules etc.

Friability & Abrasion of tablets

Friability and abrasion testing is used to test the durability of tablets during the production and packaging processes. A sample of tablets is falling or rolling over a fixed time, using rotating drums with different shovels. The result is inspected visually for broken tablets and the percentage of tablet weight lost.
